You probably remember my articles about back pain and its implications on living a normal life.
Well, at least I thought that. Yesterday I’ve experienced the worst of all back pains in the world. Let me tell you how it started: I was doing some jobs in the garden, taking care for some vegetables I’ve seeded this spring. At a point, I bended over to take something from the ground and I had a big surprise, as I wasn’t able to get back at the vertical position. So there I was, in the middle of nowhere (my garden and my indoor greenhouse are far away from houses), not being able to stand anymore. Walking was also out of question. I had no mobile phone with me, so I had to figure out a solution to get back inside my house.
While I was thinking, a neighbor just passed by. I called him, and luckily he heard my voice and came to see what happened. After exchanging a few words, my neighbor ended up by taking me over his shoulder and carried me like then the whole way through the mud of the garden, into the house.
Getting inside the house, I called an ambulance and when they arrived I realized that I had tons of dirt under my fingernails.
Do you want to know why? Because my neighbor is a 9 years old boy, and he’s not so tall, so my hands were on the ground while he was carrying me. Funny, huh?
