Where To Publish Yourself For Free

The new fashion of our era is for people to publish their thoughts and ramblings online. This is rather cheap and entertaining, so the entry barrier is very low.

However, some persons can’t afford event the $10 per year for owning a .com domain name and $2 per month for hosting it on a shared hosting plan.

Luckily, there are a lot of places where everybody can publish for free. Here you can find the top 5, ranked according to my personal preferences:

  1. Hubpages: very easy to join, and very easy to publish. There are pre-set modules for text, video or photo content, and you can add also RSS feeds or Amazon or eBay modules. It is a revenue sharing place, so you can make money with your hubs
  2. Blogger: easy to join, easy to publish, if you don’t want a lot of tweaking of the layouts. You can monetize your pages and keep all the earnings
  3. Squidoo: easy to join and publish, but containing a bit too much advertising – it is a shared revenue model, but you don’t know hwich share of the earnings you get
  4. Tumblr: easy but a bit boring, with no modules.
  5. Google pages: interesting, easy to use, convenient

What else do you know? Where can we publish and host our ideas for free?

Have you ever considered moving overseas? Can you imagine how much hassle this can create, and how organized one needs to be in order to make sure that all necessary things, and only those ones are packed to go? Nobody wants to pay for transporting things they don’t use anymore, nor they want to discover that they forgot to take something very important to them and which cannot be replaced, like a family souvenir.

If you didn’t know, find out that you can get some help in the relocation process: there are international moving companies, which can arrange everything to see your parcels safe at their destination, without you worrying about anything. Should you consider to use such services, you can get free quotations online, from websites like InternationalMovers.com, which will provide you several choices, taking into consideration your specific requirements. The quotations are free and they do not bind you in any way, so you can feel free to make use of this service any time.

McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Crash

  • Posted on at 7:22 am

I’ve read today an interesting news on Associated Press, which is a follow up of a last year’s news: last year, a Mc Donnell Douglas helicopter crashed in Hawaii, causing one passenger to die and two others, husband and wife, to remain injured for life and not able to return to work after the hospital recovery. This makes me think twice before considering again to buy private jet rental services for my travels.

The today’s news is that the Judy and Douglas Barton family (the crippled couple) won the trial in which they are going to receive $9.5 million from the helicopter parts manufacturer company.

The accident happened during a sightseeing flight over Haui, when the McDonnell Douglas 500 had a malfunction due to a manufacturing defect at one of the helicopter’s parts, and crashed over an YMCA camp (source: The National Transportation Safety Board).

After this has been announced, the owner of the crashed helicopter investigated all others in his fleet and found other two with the same defect.

No more than four days earlier, a Heli-USA Airways helicopter crashed in the same area, and four persons were killed in that accident.

Unfortunately, one of the causes in helicopters crashes is the metal of the blades getting old, sometimes even before the number of rotations estimated for a lifespan to be done.

Thinking of all these, I believe I’d never step in a McDonnell Douglas, or any other type of helicopter again. The Bartons were lucky to win the trial, but the price they had to pay was way too big.
